Heritage Hotel Anuradhapura, Anuradhapura

The hotel is situated in a lovely location near the religious sites and the picturesque tank 'thisa wewa,' allowing for a beautiful morning walk. The room service was top-notch, though my family's room wasn't serviced promptly. The kind and friendly staff were a delight with their assistance, although they seemed a bit confused by the technology. Dining was a delightful blend of Sri Lankan, European, and Chinese cuisines, especially the perfectly prepared omelettes. The access road might need some upgrades, but the pool area was a relaxing retreat.

The hotel is a bit odd as the room I booked didn't come with carpets, but it's still comfortable. The service was excellent, accommodating our every need and even making exceptions during meal times. The location is warm, humid, and infested with flies and insects, but it's not far from the ruined city by the lake. The dining experience was good overall, especially since omelettes and eggs were prepared to perfection. The facility had a few issues, but the staff was doing their best to make things right.

The facilities are decent, catering to essential needs. Despite some shortcomings, the hotel has potential with a bit of polishing.
